As ringleader of the all-star band The New Pornographers, A.C. Newman' has an unleashed an impressive outpouring of songs notable for their consistently high quality. Clearly, his creative wellspring has not run dry.

Five years after his solo debut, Newman's recent Get Guilty continues the Canadian songwriter's power-pop vision, with anthems that are at once hooky and idiosyncratic. In an interview with host David Dye, Newman talks about his obsession with pop music's history, as well as the fear that he might too closely imitate one of his favorite finds.
