NPR's Nina Totenberg has a profile of Vice President Al Gore. He's moved from being one of President Clinton's competitors to being one of his closest advisors. He's not quite the wooden speaker he was four years ago...he's considered smart with a self-deprecating sense of humor. And it's widely expected he'll run for the presidency in the year 2000.
