Clinton / Gop Shutdown

The House of Representatives refused to end the partial shutdown of the government today. The budget battle showdown continued for one more day. President Clinton blasted hardline House Republicans for keeping the government closed while budget negotiations continue. The Republicans fired back to the President's sharp words, saying that while the shutdown is difficult for federal workers, balancing the budget is more important.
