May 22, 2009 - The Belleville Outfit was formed when a group of mutual acquaintances decided to fill an open slot at North Carolina's roots-music gathering Merlefest. After the impromptu set, the group's members — Rob Teter on acoustic guitar and vocals, Phoebe Hunt on fiddle and vocals, Connor Forsyth on piano and vocals, plus drummer Jon Konya, bassist Jeff Brown and electric guitarist Marshall Hood — loved the chemistry, and decided to pool their collective influences to form a band.

Now based in Austin, Texas (Hunt is a native), the band has just independently released its second album, Time to Stand. Thanks to an Adopt-a-Song campaign, the group's fan base helped support the recording, pressing and distribution of Time to Stand.

The set closes with Julie Adams and the Mountain Stage band performing "The River Knows Your Name," a song written by John Hiatt.
