Battle Spreads To Streets Of Pakistan's Swat Valley

The Pakistani army claims to be consolidating positions in its offensive against Taliban extremists. In the last 24 hours, officials say, 17 suspected militants and three soldiers have been killed in the offensive in Swat Valley. More than a million and a half people have been displaced from the fighting in the mountainous northwest, where the Taliban has tightened its grip the last two years.
