Belgrade Reaction

NPR's Edward Lifson reports from Belgrade that state-run Serbian media are, predictably, blaming ethnic Albanians for the failure of the Rambouillet negotiations to produce a final settlement. Independent analysts, meantime, explain the Serb's refusal to embrace the proposed deal, saying a truly autonomous Kosovo would erode Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic's grip on power.
