Natural History Auction

NPR's Ina Jaffe reports on an auction last week where items such as meteorites, fossils and other pieces of natural history were up for grabs. Some critics in the scientific community are worried that the interest of private collectors will keep valuable specimens out of museums. The auction took in more than 800-thousand dollars, but a few of the rarest items were not sold.
