New Census Methodology

NPR's Pam Fessler reports the Census Bureau will use a new methodology in the year 2000 census. Instead of just the traditional head count, the Agency will also use statistical sampling to estimate the US population. About four million people were missed in the last census. Proponents say sampling will help eliminate this kind of error, but critics say the sampling is unnecessary.
