Niagara Falls

Host Bob Edwards talks with poet Joan Murray about her new book Queen Of The Mist: The Forgotten Heroine Of Niagara. Murray's book celebrates the story of Annie Edson Taylor, a teacher who at age 63 was the first person to travel over Niagara Falls in a barrel. For years Taylor relayed her story as a sideshow act at carnivals but died penniless. Queen of the Mist is available through Beacon Press; phone 617-742-2110.
