Pakistan's chief justice, suspended by President Pervez Musharraf, is due at the Supreme Court Saturday for a seminar on the independence of the judiciary.

Many believe Musharraf suspended Iftikhar Chaudhry because he sought to remain independent. He has challenged Musharraf's plans to run for president while simultaneously maintaining control of the armed forces as chief of staff.
