Director David Cronenberg

David D'Arcy reports Canadian director David Cronenberg's latest film eXistenZ made its world premiere at this year's Berlin Film Festival. The film earned Cronenberg the festival's Silver Bear prize for artistic achievement. The story is set in the near-future in which virtual reality game designers have become superstars. The film's cast includes some stars of its own, and Cronenberg is hoping to attract the public he lost with such recent films as Crash and M. Butterfly.
