NPR's Brooke Gladstone reports this year's Pulitzer prizes were announced today at Columbia University in New York. Among the winners: Maureen Dowd of The New York Times for a column on President Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky, Mark Strand for his poem, "Blizzard of One," and Chuck Phillips and Michael Hitzik of the Los Angeles Times for their reporting on corruption in the entertainment industry.
