Scotland's Red Grouse Birds

NPR's Joe Palca reports that a new research helps to explain one mystery of the natural world. Scientists in Scotland have noticed a strange phenomenon of sudden dips in the red grouse population of southern Scotland. They've found that the birds are suffering from a parasitic infection.
