Nato Summit

NPR's Mike Shuster reports that NATO opened its historic 50th anniversary summit today with a strong pledge to continue its air war on Yugoslavia until Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic ceases his repression of Kosovo. NATO reiterated its goals, and conditions to end the bombings. Over and over, NATO leaders insisted the alliance would remain united and would prevail in Kosovo.
