The Mystery Novel

NPR's Richard Gonzales reports some of this country's best Hispanic writers are using mystery novels to explain issues of culture and explore societal problems. They say this literary form is a perfect medium; it keeps the reader's interest and slips in cultural details. Gaining a large readership isn't easy, but it's getting better for the nation's fastest growing minority group.
