Labor Department To Issue New Jobless Numbers
Economists are looking for the jobless rate to rise to 9.2 percent. They expect the government to report that 520,000 jobs were lost in May, on top of the 5.7 million jobs that have been lost since the recession began in December 2007. If they are right, it would be the second month in a row that job losses slowed, and the fewest number of job cuts since October.
