Mount St. Helens

As part of Morning Edition's 20th anniversary NPR's Howard Berkes revisited Mt. St, Helens in Washington State 19 years after it last erupted. Berkes covered the eruption in 19-80, and revisited some of the people he spoke with then. This is the first of a two part report. Tomorrow, he will examine the eruptions impact on nature.
