NYPD Officers Indicted for Murder

NPR's Melissa Block reports that four white police officers in New York City have been indicted on second-degree murder charges in the shooting death of an unarmed West African immigrant in early February. All four policemen pleaded not guilty at their arraignment yesterday in Bronx state supreme court. The killing of 22-year-old Amadou Diallo has roiled the city over the past two months with massive daily protests calling for the officers' arrest.
