Mel Torme

Jazz and pop singer Mel Torme (TOR may) died today at the age of 73. He was best known for his singing but he also co-wrote the hit "The Christmas Song," which begins "Chesnuts roasting on an open fire...." made famous by Nat King Cole. NPR's Dean Olsher brings us this appreciation.
