Medicare Reform

Update NPR's Larry Abramson reports on the Clinton administration Medicare reform proposal, which the President will announce tomorrow. The main purpose of the initiative is to insure the financial stability of Medicare for the next 25 years. The administration also is expected to propose a major change in the program: coverage of prescription drugs for Medicare recipients, who are not hospitalized.
