Balkan Neighborly Help

NPR's Jennifer Ludden reports from Djakovica in southwestern Kosovo, on two families, one Serb and the other ethnic Albanian, who have been friends for three generations and have sheltered each other during two life threatening periods in Serbia's history. The ethnic Albanian family hid the Serbian family and saved their lives during the Nazi occupation. The Serbian family saved the lives of members of the ethnic Albanian family during the recent war in Kosovo.
