STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
Some bike riders in Vermont made sure to wear their helmets. They also made sure to wear nothing else. Several dozen bikers rode naked through the streets of Montpelier on Saturday. You can do that in Vermont, since no law forbids it. The event was part of what's called The World Naked Bike Ride. It is intended to promote bicycles as an alternative to driving cars - or at least as an alternative to driving cars while nude.
It's MORNING EDITION.
