Montenegro-Serbia Dispute

NPR's Tom Gjelten reports on U.S. concern over the tension between Montenegro and Serbia, over Montenegro's role within Yugoslavia. Montenegro is demanding full autonomy within the Yugoslav Republic, something the Milosevic government in Belgrade refuses to grant. The United States and its NATO allies are worried about what will happen if the dispute between Montenegro and Serbia escalates into a military confrontation.
