Robert speaks to Alex Waibel, a professor at Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science, and the chairman of C-STAR, the Consortium for Speech Translation Advanced Research. They discuss a new travel planning system on the World Wide Web, that will use new technology to translate speech in six languages .
