Slave Era Pottery

Joshua Levs of member station WABE reports that a collection of pottery made by a South Carolina slave is attracting the attention of literary and folk art scholars. The pottery is unique in its quality and because it is inscribed with two-line poems. The artist dated his work and signed it with the name Dave.
