Atlanta's Affirmative Program

From member station WABE, Joshua Levs reports that the Southeastern Legal Foundation has filed lawsuits opposing school busing programs and race-based admissions at state colleges. The group says it is sueing Atlanta in an attempt to abolish the city's affirmative action program. The program, which the foundation claims is unconstitutional, requires a portion of city contracts to go to minority- and female-owned firms.
