Helping Foster Kids

NPR's Ina Jaffe reports on Bridges to Independence, a social services program in Los Angeles that provides housing and other services to children who have spent time in the foster care system. Kids must leave foster care when they turn 18, and frequently have no place to go and few job skills to help them survive. The program has homes for about 250 former foster care children in L.A. County.
