Ali Farka Toure

Host Renee Montagne talks with music producer Nick Gold about a new CD called Niafunke. The CD is by Malian guitarist Ali Farka Toure, who won a Grammy award for his 1994 collaboration with Ry Cooder. Ali recorded previous albums in the United States, but he now refuses to leave his farm in a remote region of Mali. Due to Internets rights issues, this segment has been modified from its original broadcast form.
