Five tourists from France found themselves on a wild ride in New York City. Looking for a cab, the visitors hopped into an unlicensed van. The airport's police spotted the criminal cab, and immediately gave chase through two boroughs until the van crashed.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.

Ah, a taste of the old dangerous New York with its own French connection as five tourists from France find themselves on a wild ride. Looking for a cab, the visitors hopped into an unlicensed van. The airport's police spotted the criminal cab and immediately gave chase through two boroughs until the illegal van crashed. One young Parisian passenger told The New York Post: We were going zoom, zoom, zoom. The police were fantastique.

It's MORNING EDITION.
