Privatization of Prisons

Janet Heimlich reports on the controversy in Texas over the privatization of prisons. The state spends millions of dollars a year to have private companies manage some of its prisons. Critics say the companies are more likely to cut corners for profits. And there are more serious problems — one prison is being investigated after guards were accused of having sex with female inmates.
