Stem Cell Research

NPR's Richard Harris reports on the possibility that scientists will be allowed to use stem cells from discarded human embryos in federally-funded medical research. Congress currently forbids their use in federally-funded studies. The National Bioethics Advisory Commission is recommending the use of the stem cells if they are derived from embryos left over from infertility treatments.
