Floyd in Atlantic City

NPR's Steve Inskeep reports on the recent problems facing the East Coast's Casino capitol. Tropical storm Floyd threatened the Miss America Pageant and added misery to a community already hit by a crippling casino strike. Police declared city-wide state of emergency just hours after chambermaids, bartenders and other workers began a boisterous walkout, chanting, ``No contract, no peace!'' at casino entrances along the city's famous ocean-side boardwalk.
