Tobacco Company Lawsuit

NPR's Debbie Elliott reports that the U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against several tobacco companies to recover billion of dollars the federal government spent on smoking-related health costs. Attorney General Janet Reno made the announcement yesterday, saying that the government has a duty to sue cigarette makers to recover billions of dollars taxpayers have spent treating sick smokers.
