Daniel talks with NPR's Vicki O'Hara about Australia's decision to send troops to East Timor. She says the Australian people strongly support this mission. This was not an easy decision for the Australian government, which has been working hard in recent years to enhance its relationship with Indonesia—an important trade and political power in the region.
