Quartet Endurance

Noah speaks with Tom Chiu, a member of the Flux String Quartet, about getting ready to play Morton Feldman's String Quartet No. 2. It has never before been played publicly in its entirety. The Kronos Quartet had tried to play it, but decided it was impossible. Chiu says the Flux String Quartet is preparing for the piece as an athlete might prepare for a marathon. The performance is tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Great Hall of Cooper Union in New York City.
