Encylopaedia Britannica

NPR's Madeleine Brand reports that the publishers of Encylopaedia Britannica have decided to make their body of knowledge available free of charge on the Internet. The online version will contain paid advertising. Until now, the multi-volume hard copy version of Britannica has been relatively expensive and sold mostly door-to-door. (3:04)
