ABC WIns Appeal

NPR's Brooke Gladstone reports on the most recent turn of events in the case brought by Food Lion against ABC News. Yesterday, a North Carolina judge reduced the multimillion dollar judgment against ABC to just two dollars. The case revolves around a 1992 T.V. segment, which showed unhealthy food handling practices at the grocery chain. Media advocates are heralding the judge's decision as a boost for press freedom.
