Cesaria Evora

Daniel speaks to singer Cesaria Evora. Evora's music is a mixture of genre's, all with a beat that makes you want to dance. She's the voice of Cape Verde, a small chain of impoverished islands off the coast of Africa. She's on a tour promoting her latest album, "Cafe Atlantico", sung in Portugese Creole, and she dropped by our studio the other day to chat. ("Cafe Atlantico"; BMG Classics 74321-65401-2; 1999)
