Minorities & Science
NPR's Brenda Wilson profiles Freeman Hrabowski, the head of the University of Maryland Baltimore County. UMBC has one of the highest rates of minority students going on to advanced degrees in medicine and science, in part because of Hrabowski's interest in creating diversity and encouraging minorities.
