L.A. to Fire Education Superintendent

NPR's Andy Bowers reports that Los Angeles Board of Education has voted to fire school Superintendent Dr. Ruben Zacarias for failing to solve the numerous problems confronting the school system. Zacarias leader of the nation's second-largest school district has 20 months remaining on his contract and has said he would not resign.
