San Francisco Mayorial Election

NPR's Richard Gonzales reports from San Francisco on Mayor Willie Brown's uphill campaign for reelection. Polls indicate that more than half the voters have an unfavorable opinion of Brown's performance in office. Voters go to the polls on Tuesday, but a run-off election in December almost certainly will be required.
