NPR's Debbie Elliott reports on prominent civil rights leader Daisy Bates, who died yesterday at 84. She fought against segregation in Arkansas and was an influential voice in the struggle for racial equality — notably as adviser to the group of students who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957.
