Ballet Micanique

Pippin Ross reports on tomorrow night's premiere of the highly complicated musical work, Ballet Micanique, which American composer George Anteil wrote in 1923. The work was scored for 16 player pianos, xylophones, drums, and other percussion instruments and contains 600 time changes. Until now, it was impossible to play. New technology now makes it possible to perform. (8:48)

Tomorrow night's live performance in Lowell, Massachusetts will be on WGBH-TV channel 2, you can also tune to a live webcast at WGBH.org/radio.
