Indian Business Enterprises

Leif Enger of Minnesota Public Radio reports that the Mille Lacs Ojibwe Indian Tribe has been so successful with its gambling casinos that it's branching out into other business enterprises. Its two casinos bring in millions of dollars in annual revenue, and its tribal entrepreneur program has attracted restaurants and gas stations to the reservation. Investments now include a bottled water company and ownership of two banks.
