National Book Awards Ceremony

NPR's Rick Karr highlights the winners of last night's National Book Awards held in New York. The award show marked its 50th anniversary by presenting an honorary medal to the industry's most influential book. Ha Jin, a former member of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, won the fiction prize for his novel Waiting.
