NPR's Phillip Martin reports on efforts to make the upcoming census as accurate as possible with respect to the counting of minorities. The U.S. Census Bureau has hired non-citizens as census workers as part of the plan to reach out to minority communities that have been traditionally distrustful of government. The Bureau is also running an ad campaign encouraging residents to fill out their census forms and mail them in. They appear to be making some headway in one Rhode Island community.
