Siamsa Tire

Jacki Lyden welcomes to the NPR Performance Studio members of Siamsa Tire, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland. Originally an informal collective of church choir singers, Siamsa Tire is now a widely-recognized theater company. They run two training centers in County Kerry to promote traditional Irish song, dance and storytelling. They recently brought their 26-member production to Washington D.C.'s Ford's Theatre.
