Millenial Threats

NPR's Eric Westervelt reports that the weekend arrest of a suspected terrorist at the border between Canada and Washington State has made law enforcement officials across the country nervous about security for New Year's Eve celebrations. Police already have put together security plans for the Millennium New Year's Eve. The arrest of an Algerian citizen named Ahmed Ressam with bomb making material in the trunk of his rental car has heightened public awareness of the potential threat.
