July 22, 2009 - The Lovell Sisters, young bluegrass players from Calhoun, Ga., display their musicianship and devoted love of many styles of music on their new album, Time to Grow. The talented trio includes Jessica, 23, on fiddle; Megan, 19, on dobro; and Rebecca, 18, on mandolin, with all three doing vocal duty.

Widely accepted at many folk festivals (Bonnaroo and Telluride among them) and at shows across North America and Europe, the Lovells have released three albums, When Forever Rolls Around (2005), Live at the Philadelphia Folk Festival (2007) and Time to Grow.

In this set on Mountain Stage, The Lovell Sisters perform two songs from Time to Grow, "In My Time of Dyin'" and the title track, along with two covers: "Teardrop," written by Cocteau Twins singer-songwriter Elizabeth Fraser, and "Bleeding Heart" by Jimi Hendrix.
