Senagalese Griot Music

Jacki speaks to Banning Eyre, music critic for All Things Considered about a new CD of Senegalese Griot music called, "Djanbutu Thiossane." Griots are storytellers or poets who pass on the traditions of the country through generations. The group is formed by three brothers Ass, Mass and Pap N'Diaye who'se family come from a long tradition of Griots. The group is now based in Madrid where griotism is also very much alive.
